HOW TO PHOTOGRAPHY: TEACHING YOURSELF

The Skills, concepts and the numerous techniques that can help you get that distinguished pictures are overwhelming for most of the beginners. Believe it or not even many professional photographers don't know all there is in the photography world. If your taking up photography as a hobby and are struggling to learn more, then best approach is to become a student by trying to learn as much as possible from the online world. I would suggest the following sequence of lessons.

a) Know your camera
The camera is just a complex device which at the end of the day cannot do anything by itself. You can't expect it to click the perfect pictures unless you understand its basic operations and how comfortable you are with it. That is the reason the most important thing while purchasing a camera is to see how well it fits in your hand. People with big hands might find it tough to handle the Slim digital cameras like SONY, CANON etc that now are offered by almost all brands. Post purchase spending time to learn the manuals if just the right way to head start yourself . Once you feel you have a good idea about the camera it will not be a bad idea to hop out and start clicking random photos. Make sure you try all the modes that are available in the camera. Don't worry too much about the quality of the pictures. Instead focus more on the using the different buttons and settings and the changes it throws for the same picture clicked. Remember its impossible to enjoy photography unless you learn to operate your camera.

Next lesson to come shortly...
